On leaving school I worked for a local company as an Architectural Model Maker and studied carpentry and joinery at college part time. A few years later I was self-employed undertaking small contracts and sub-contract work in model making, woodwork and metalwork.

A need for change and my growing interest in buildings led me into higher education, where I undertook an HND in Building Studies. Although successfully completing the course I concluded that the building industry was not the place for me.

Realising I needed a more creative direction I enrolled on a BA Design and Technology course at Middlesex University. Enjoying the broad range of modules that built on my “making” background I completed the course with a First and an Award at New Designers.

I then tutored at Middlesex University assisting with Computer Aided Product Design and Furniture Design modules, as well as undertaking programming work for a local CNC machining company.

I now work from a well-equipped workshop which enables me to pursue my own projects and continue commercial model making, prototyping and design.
